EBONG JARVIS AKANG was born on November 11, 1994 at Ebase-Bajoh, Bangem Sub Division in the South West Region of Cameroon. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics (Bsc. Econs) from the university of Buea. He has two years of experience as a part time primary school teacher in G.S. Ebase-Bajoh (2013-2014 and 2016-2017 school years). He equally has one year, one month of experience as a volunteer/field staff in CCREAD-Cameroon (September 2018-October 2019) where he has been as a team member in the implementation and monitoring of projects such as conservation of rainforests and wildlife species in the Bakossi forests zones, Advocating for Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHRs)  and the fight against all forms of Gender Based Violence on women and girls across Cameroon. He also has 5 years of experience in intensive cocoa production (2011-2016).As someone born in a very remote community considered to be a hard to reach area, he knows the difficulties plaguing such indigenous communities and as such, his zeal is to do community development, in the domains of environmental restoration and sustainable agricultural practices. This is to bring “light” to thousands of such communities across Cameroon and beyond. He also has interest in promoting the rights of all citizens and to also help others in need, (Humanitarian).He has received training on Cocoa Livelihood Program, from the World Cocoa Foundation, organized by giz, for sustainable cocoa business, where he was awarded a certificate of participation. Presently, he is a volunteer/field staff serving and receiving mentorship at CCREAD-Cameroon and also the assistant out reach officer.
