Takor

ABANG JACOBIN TAKOR is a female Cameroonian born on the 15/8/1985 in Batoh-Tinto in the South West Region of Cameroon. She has Ordinary Levels and Advance Levels in 2003 and 2005 respectively in G.H.S Widikum. She move to the University of Buea where she obtained her first degree in curriculum studies and teaching (B.ed) in 2008. She also attended Pan-African Institute for West Africa (Pan-Afrik) in 2013 were she obtain a diploma in Project Management/Agriculture. That same year she also went for a computer training and she was certified in that domain. Later in 2014, she enrolled into Remedial Teachers Training College and obtained the Government Teachers Training Certificate (Grade One) in 2015.In 2009, she was recruited to teach History/Eng-lit in Excellence Bilingual Secondary School in Douala. After her studies in Pan-Afrik, she volunteered at Centre for Community Regeneration and Development (CCREAD Cameroon for 2years and was later recruited in an NGO called United Action for Children (U.A.C). After working with U.A.C for 3 years, she was recruited in Centre for Community Regeneration and development were she is currently working as head of programs. She is also one of CCREAD’s representatives sent to Vietnam to attend a seminar on youth radicalization and how to manage conflicts especially amongst youths.She has gained secretarial experience working with the Cameroon General Certificate Board as secretory. Working with pupils to gain creative and entrepreneurial skills to impact their communities positively is what she has done for 2 years. She has been an administrative staff with U.A.C and also as head of programs in CCREAD-Cameroon. She has been involved in project writing and implementation. She has experience working with hard to reach communities. Jacobin also loves working with the vulnerable/disadvantage population especially in humanitarian domain. That is why her area of interest is humanitarian response actions.
